Events: EUROPEAN TOUR: Tony Hawk and members of the Birdhouse team completed a two week tour of Europe from Berlin to Barcelona with skatepark demos in Berlin, Frankfurt, Zurich, Marseille, and Barcelona. On alternate days Tony and his crew of vert superstars perfromed huge vert demos as part of the Quiksilver Presents Tony Hawk and Friends tour. Vert demos blew up in Berlin, Rome, Brighton, and to a crowd of over 25,000 on the beach in Barcelona. The show was part of the PacSun Beach Ballyhoo festival all weekend, June 19 and 20, 2010. TONY HAWK VERT JAM: On Saturday July 24, 2010 Tony Hawk and crew performed at the Quiksilver Presents Tony Hawk Vert Jam in Downtown Disney as part of their Action Sports Weekend. The good news: The huge crowd saw a great show. The bad news: Tony fell hard and fractured his pelvis. He is recovering well.   Television:   X GAMES: Tony Hawk commentated Men’s Vert, Street, Park, Big Air, and Big Air Rail Skateboarding during the 2010 X Games on ESPN. The X Games were held in Los Angeles from July 28 to August 1, 2010 and aired on ESPN and ABC. THE DAILY LINE: Tony Hawk was featured on this national TV show on the Versus Sports Network on May 28, 2010. The Daily Line offers viewers a preview of the upcoming night in sports, as well as allows sports fans to discuss on-air the latest sports news by calling-in, texting, or tweeting to the show. THE DOCTORS: Tony Hawk appeared on this wildly popular medical television program. In the segment, Tony surprised a child transplant patient with a basket of gifts as well as a recorded personal greeting. The Doctors offers viewers a source of reliable and fascinating medical and health advice through story-driven, dynamic and interactive features.   WANNA BEN: Tony Hawk will be featured on this imaginative comedy TV series themed each week on different genre, from music to movies, fashion to business which airs on the highly respected networks; Newtork 10 (Australia) and TV3 (New Zealand).  Consumer Magazines: CONTINENTAL MAGAZINE: Tony Hawk was featured in the August 2010 issue of this in-flight magazine. Continental magazine is written for business executives and domestic frequent flyers of Continental Airlines and has a circulation of 332,501. ETIHAD AIRWAYS IN-FLIGHT MAGAZINE: Tony Hawk was featured in this popular in-flight publication. The feature, which ran in the July 2010 issue, discussed Tony’s skateboarding career as well as his latest trip to Abu Dhabi and involvment in the Laureus Academy of Sports. Etihad Airways in-flight is created for travelers; features cover a range of lifestyle topics. It has a circulation of 22,000.   LA MAGAZINE: Hawk Clothing line was featured in LA Magazine's Skate/Surf 2010 issue. LA Magazine provides a contemporary look at the Los Angeles lifestyle, trends, personalities, events and news. Circulation: 140,022    LOS ANGELES CONFIDENTIAL: Tony Hawk was featured in this popular lifestyle publication in the Summer issue. Los Angeles Confidential is written with an inside look into the style, electricity, and buzz that propels Los Angeles. It has a circulation of 67,852.    MAXIM: Tony Hawk will be featured in this popular men’s magazine. The feature is slated to run in the October 2010 issue. Maxim is aimed at the young, modern man, covering everything essential and important to a man’s life, from sex to sports to clothes to cars to fitness to finance to music and movies. It has a national circulation of 2,535,884.    NIDO: Tony Hawk was included in a round-up of professional athletes' childhood photos in this German family magazine. Nido is a special edition magazine from the STERN-Group. It has a circulation of 200,000.    OPEN SKIES: Tony Hawk was featured in this popular Dubai in-flight magazine. The four-page feature ran in the July 2010 issue. Open Skies Magazine is the in-flight magazine of Dubai’s award-winning Emirates Airways, which features lifestyle and culture topics of the Gulf, travel destinations, health, business and profiles. Emirates Airlines operates in 100 destinations, and services roughly 17.5 million passengers each year.    SCHOLASTIC NEWS MAGAZINE: Tony Hawk was featured in the May/June 2010 Summer Sports edition of this educational children’s magazine. Scholastic News is a magazine that is distributed to schools in the U.S., with a national circulation of 800,000.   Website/Misc.:   GUMBALL 3000: Tony Hawk, Mike Escamilla, Jesse Fritsch, and John Dale drove in the 2010 Gumball 3000 across Europe, Canada and the USA. Once in the United States, they raced in none other than the A-Team van. Part 1:  Part 2:  Part 3:  Part 4:    TOYOTA PRO CELEBRITY RACE: On April 17, 2010 Tony Hawk raced in the Toyota Pro Celebrity Race as part of the Long Beach Grand Prix weekend activities. Other racers included: Adrien Brody, Christian Slater, Keanu Reeves, Brian Austin Green, and Zach Levi. Tony was spun with 7 laps remaining and was unable to finish. WOODWARD CHINA: Tony Hawk and other stars from skateboarding and BMX traveled to Beijing China for the grand opening of Woodward China action sports camp from May 12-May 17. BOOK EXPO AMERICA: Tony Hawk attended Book Expo America at Jacob Javitz in New York on May 27, 2010 and signed excerpts of his upcoming book titled How Did I Get Here? The Ascent of an Unlikely CEO. RICHEMONT: Tony was a guest speaker on the topic of social media for Richemont LTD in South Africa on June 6, 2010. LAUREUS SPORT FOR GOOD: While in South Africa, Tony visited a Laureus project, Indigo Skate Camp on June 8, 2010. ACTIVISION GAME LAUNCH PRESS EVENT: On June 14, 2010, Tony Hawk: SHRED was one of the featured games unveiled in an unprecedented extravaganza at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The event featured an appearance by Tony Hawk and also included performances from Chris Cornell, N.E.R.D., Jane's Addiction, Usher, and Eminem among others. VANITYFAIR.COM: Tony Hawk was featured on this popular website on April 22, 2010.
